 What is Tai' Chi Gung?

Tai' Chi Gung is a moving meditation that stresses the importance of breath, movement, and focus. The name itself holds deep meaning: "Tai" meaning grand, "Chi" for the vital life force (qi, or prana) flowing through all beings, and "Gung" for the sacred temple of our bodies.

At its core, Tai' Chi Gung is a practice that emphasizes the connection between mind and movement. By focusing on moving in a slow, deliberate manner, Tai' Chi Gung practitioners can cultivate a sense of true inner peace and calm.

As you practice Tai' Chi Gung, each deliberate motion becomes a meditation in itself. The mind quiets, anchoring you in the present moment as stress and anxiety melt away.

What are the benefits of Tai’ Chi Gung?

Through the series of gentle movements and the breath we connect to the intrinsic energy or life force in nature that is always around us and bring more of it into our bodies.  The benefits include greater peace, vitality and regeneration for more health and longevity.

Can I join the class anytime?

Lao Tzu created a series of warmups and 4 basic standing exercises that are the core of every class and help students feel the life energy of nature directly.  Almost 90% of students feel it in their very first class.  Because the exercises remain consistent, you can join any time.  You’ll wear comfortable street clothes, and you won’t break a sweat.
